Agreement to Our Legal Terms
We are Progressive Rugby ("we," "us," or "our"), a not-for-profit organisation headquartered in the United Kingdom. RugMed was developed on our behalf by Hamiltonian Dynamics Ltd, a software consultancy based in England.
We operate RugMed, a web application that allows searching and filtering of publicly available biomedical literature—primarily abstracts and papers indexed by PubMed—and provides AI-assisted querying and summarisation tools. These Terms of Service ("Legal Terms") apply to your use of RugMed and any related services.
By using the Services, you agree to these Legal Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
1. OUR SERVICES
RugMed provides tools to search, filter, and explore biomedical literature related to Rugby Union. It offers AI-generated summaries and user-shared queries to help uncover patterns and insights from published academic material. No user-generated content is uploaded or stored—RugMed is purely a discovery and exploration interface.
RugMed does not provide medical advice. AI-generated responses may contain errors or omissions. Always verify information via the original sources and consult qualified healthcare professionals when needed.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The RugMed application, design, and AI-generated summaries are the intellectual property of Progressive Rugby or licensed to us. PubMed content and third-party journal metadata remain the property of their respective publishers.
You may access and use RugMed for personal or internal research use only. Reproduction or distribution of the software or its content without permission is prohibited.
3. USER REPRESENTATIONS
By using RugMed, you confirm that:
- You are over 18 years of age or of legal age in your jurisdiction.
- You are using the Services for lawful and non-commercial purposes.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or repurpose content from the platform.
4. PRIVACY
We take privacy seriously. RugMed does not collect user-submitted content. Analytics and search logs may be collected to improve the service. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
RugMed is provided "as is" and without warranties. Progressive Rugby and its development partners (including Hamiltonian Dynamics Ltd) are not liable for decisions made based on the content, nor for technical issues that may arise from using the platform.
6. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may revise these Legal Terms from time to time. You are responsible for reviewing them periodically. Continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of any updates.
7. GOVERNING LAW
These Legal Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
